CIMANDIS has been on a growth journey during the last four years, since being acquired by UK-based wholesalers Bidfood in 2015.
Managing director John James, who moved to the Island two years ago, explained: ‘Historically, Cimandis had a reputation of over-promising and under-delivering. There were people in the wrong roles, and the range of products we could supply was much more limited.’
In the two years under Mr James’ leadership, Cimandis has grown its business by 30% – a particular achievement given the islands’ restricted market.
Having invested significantly in the business, Cimandis now has a fleet of multi-temperature vehicles, with separately controlled chambers enabling each van to transport a range of products, providing greater convenience to customers.
