It is often said that you will never manage to please everybody – but Hotel La Place have found a winning formula.


For the past two a half years, the hotel have been rated the best hotel in the Channel Islands on Trip Advisor, and they have also been awarded the travel review site’s Travellers’ Choice award for 2019.

In the kitchen, head chef Roger Gouveia oversees a team of seven who prepare a wide range of food, from room service and bar meals to afternoon teas, dinners, Sunday lunches and the hotel’s award-winning breakfast.

‘Our food is presented in a modern style with some traditional twists,’ said general manager Tim Brooke. ‘It is simple, well presented honest food, which our customers enjoy.’
